Baseball Game Preview: Hazen Wildcats vs. Randolph Ghosts

The Hazen Wildcats will face off against the Randolph Ghosts at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hazen headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for five straight, but Oxbow let them put that streak behind them. The Wildcats walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Olympians on Tuesday. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Randolph, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out U-32 4-2.

Jackson Bascom was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Dylan Delaney also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hazen's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Randolph, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
