Violet Shuluga, Milford's leading scorer, solidified her role on Thursday. Turpin had no answer to Shuluga as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Shuluga also racked up five assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

Shuluga's strong effort led Milford over Turpin and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long.
