Baseball Recap: Sunbright Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sunbright's offense. They came up short against the McCreary Central Raiders on Tuesday, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sunbright dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for McCreary Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunbright will face off against Scott at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunbright has given up an average of 19.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for McCreary Central, they will host Jellico at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCreary Central is facing Jellico at the right time seeing as Jellico is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
