Baseball Game Preview: Southeastern Local Trojans vs. Cedarville Indians

For the second straight game, Southeastern Local will face off against Cedarville. The Trojans will challenge the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Southeastern Local has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while Cedarville will arrive with three straight wins.

Southeastern Local came up short against Cedarville on Monday, falling 15-1.

For Cedarville's part, Xavier Pauling made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Pauling has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Cedarville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Cedarville got a massive performance out of Wyatt Percival, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, one run, and one double. That double was Percival's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Creeden, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Southeastern Local's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Cedarville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
