Baseball Recap: Omaha North Wins Going Away Against Louisville

Omaha North had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Louisville on Tuesday. Omaha North blew past Louisville 10-0. The Vikings have beaten the Lions the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.

Chance Kinman made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colin Kinman, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Omaha North now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Louisville, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Omaha North will square off against Bellevue East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Louisville, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Auburn on the 25th.
