Softball Recap: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Plainfield East Bengals
Plainfield East typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Plainfield Central proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Bengals. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bengals back in April, they had to take a 8-4 loss.
Jamie Crawford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits.
At the plate, Sophia Patterson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
