Basketball Recap: Burns Comes Up Short

Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 69-18 loss at the hands of the Cody Broncs. The contest marked Burns' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Parker Ochsner was Burns' leading scorer, having posted five points. Mason Medley held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Bryce Hansen took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Burns' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cody, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-40 defeat against Lander Valley on the 21st. Cody has also already played their next game, a 69-54 win against Douglas on the 21st.
