Baseball Game Preview: Mountain House Mustangs vs. Manteca Buffaloes

For the second straight game, Mountain House will face off against Manteca. Mountain House will be playing in front of their home fans against Manteca at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain House has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with 11 straight defeats, while Manteca will come in with three straight victories.

Mountain House came up short against Manteca on Wednesday, falling 11-1.

For Manteca's part, Jimmy Burns looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nate Slikker, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Edward Anthony, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Manteca hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in seven consecutive matchups.

Manteca's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Mountain House, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1.
