The Villages Charter is 8-2 against Mount Dora since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Buffalo will head out to square off against the Canes at 7:00 p.m. The Villages Charter's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Mount Dora's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The Villages Charter is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Santa Fe just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Buffalo couldn't push the score so high this time.

Payton West made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. Alexis Swetnam also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Mount Dora didn't have quite enough to beat South Lake on Monday and fell 2-1.

Addison Ganus was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Mount Dora's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for The Villages Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

The Villages Charter was able to grind out a solid victory over Mount Dora in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffalo since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
