Dexter had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They blew past the Lincoln Railsplitters, posting a 64-24 victory. Given the Dreadnaughts' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Railsplitters are ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dexter's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points over those games. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Dexter surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to square off against Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
