Pacific Ridge and Classical Academy are an even 4-4-1 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long. The Firebirds will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against the Caimans at 3:15 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While Pacific Ridge's win against Escondido Charter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Firebirds' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. Pacific Ridge's winning goal came courtesy of Jackson Bush.

Meanwhile, Classical Academy came up short against La Jolla Country Day on Tuesday and fell 3-1. Classical Academy have struggled against La Jolla Country Day recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Pacific Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 3-5-3. As for Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-3.

Pacific Ridge got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 against Classical Academy by a conclusive 5-1 score. Do the Firebirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Caimans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
