Basketball Recap: Fair Haven Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Hartford

On Wednesday, Fair Haven faced Hartford in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Fair Haven Slaters were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to the Hartford Hurricanes. The Slaters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Fair Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Hartford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Fair Haven will welcome Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Windsor will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Fair Haven surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hartford, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bellows Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
