Volleyball Recap: Academy of Central Florida National Wins High-Profile Game Against Lyman

On Wednesday, Academy of Central Florida National faced Lyman in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Academy of Central Florida National Golden Bulls were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Lyman Greyhounds. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Bulls.

While Academy of Central Florida National won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 26-24.

Lucca Marques paced Academy of Central Florida National's offense, picking up 18 kills. Marques got some help from Luciano Carrillo and his 41 assists. Samuel Ortega and Miguel Argament kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Academy of Central Florida National's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Lyman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy of Central Florida National will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Forest Lake Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th. Lyman will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Timber Creek at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
