Soccer Recap: Philadelphia Falls Short of Booneville in the Playoffs

Philadelphia and Booneville squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Philadelphia had to settle for second. They lost 7-0 to the Booneville Blue Devils. Considering the last time the Tornadoes couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Philadelphia's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Booneville, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.

Philadelphia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Booneville, they will face off against Vardaman on Tuesday. Booneville knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Vardaman likes a good challenge.
