The Park Tudor Panthers will take on the University Trailblazers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Park Tudor is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Indianapolis Bishop Chatard on Monday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Desmond Francis made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Park Tudor: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, MJ Gaines was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Park Tudor is 8-1 when Gaines posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Santana Jackson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Park Tudor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, University had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Cougars as they made off with an 8-2 win. Considering the Trailblazers have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Laine Spears looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Beckett Suh, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Cooper Burnett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
University pushed their record up to 14-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Park Tudor, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
