Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Madonna Hawks vs. Scotts Valley Falcons

Mt. Madonna is on a ten-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Scotts Valley an 11-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Mt. Madonna Hawks challenge Scotts Valley Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Mt. Madonna came up short against Soquel and fell 3-1.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Soquel scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Scotts Valley came up short against San Lorenzo Valley on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Scotts Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 31-29.

Scotts Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Mt. Madonna, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
