Lee Williams had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 6-7-1 to make it five. They fell 10-5 to the Mingus Marauders. The Volunteers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marauders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Cooper Cronk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Lee Williams is 2-1 when Cronk posts three or more hits, but 4-6-1 otherwise.
As for Mingus, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games.
On Mingus' side, Kaden Pusl made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Pusl has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Manuel Munoz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Carter Wacker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
While Lee Williams had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
