The Liberty Magnet Patriots will venture away from home to take on the False River Gators at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Magnet is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Liberty Magnet's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on East Feliciana with a sharp 21-0 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Seth Dupont looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, Liberty Magnet got a massive performance out of Tyler Houston, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Houston a new career-high. Seth Trosclair was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Liberty Magnet always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Feliciana only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, False River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 9-6 to Maurepas. That's two games in a row now that the Gators have lost by exactly three runs.
Josh Ramagos put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Preston Guiliory was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Orilion, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Liberty Magnet's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for False River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13-1.
False River's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Liberty Magnet hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. It's a different story for False River, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Liberty Magnet's hitters?
Liberty Magnet was able to grind out a solid win over False River in their previous matchup last Thursday, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty Magnet since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
