Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fort Wayne Northrop walked away with it. They blew past the Fort Wayne North Side Legends 39-1 on Thursday. The Bruins' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Liam Quinn made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Fort Wayne Northrop: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-23 otherwise.

In other batting news, Jason Sheppard was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.
