Basketball Recap: Caney Creek Comes Up Short

Caney Creek lost against New Caney back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Caney Creek Panthers took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Caney Eagles. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caney Creek's record now sits at 4-13. As for New Caney, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caney Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Conroe at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for New Caney, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting MacArthur at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
