Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeview Ravens vs. Crook County Cowboys

For the second straight game, Ridgeview will face off against Crook County. The Ravens will welcome the Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgeview's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Crook County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Ridgeview came out on top against Crook County on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Ravens took their matchup against the Cowboys 5-1. The Ravens haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Dylan Hertel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ridgeview is 6-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-9-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Ryden Nakamura and Bennett Wyatt did most of the damage at the plate: Nakamura went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Wyatt went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Cole Mainwaring was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Crook County dropped their record down to 3-18 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ridgeview, their win bumped their record up to 13-10-1.
