Softball Recap: American Victorious

While American's victory against Palmetto wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Panthers 6-5. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ashley Ramon was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Chayla Wright was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

American's record now sits at 13-5. As for Palmetto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

American will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westminster Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Palmetto, they will welcome South Dade at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
