Basketball Recap: Floyd County Takes a Loss

Floyd County fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Radford on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Radford Bobcats. The Buffaloes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 50-30.

Floyd County dropped their record down to 15-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Radford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Floyd County will venture away from home to challenge Alleghany at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Floyd County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Radford, they will be playing at home against Carroll County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carroll County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Radford surely won't give up without a fight.
