Softball Preview: Silas Rams vs. Central Kitsap Cougars

Natalie Medalia was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was even better at the plate, firing off three home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times she's played.

Medalia wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Conklin, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another was Neveah McDaniel, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Silas hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln struck out seven times.

Meanwhile, Central Kitsap hadn't done well against Gig Harbor recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Tides. Considering the Cougars have won five games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Central Kitsap's record is now 5-1. As for Silas, the victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 2-5.
