Basketball Game Preview: Lakeside Dragons vs. Edgewood Warriors

The Lakeside Dragons will head out on the road to take on the Edgewood Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeside is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Lakeside came up short against Harvey on Saturday, falling 48-23.

Meanwhile, Edgewood didn't have too much trouble with Jefferson Area on Saturday as they won 59-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Edgewood's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Lakeside was taken down by Edgewood 64-29 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Lakeside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
