After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rosewood, Hobbton was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs 17-2. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Lathan Warren was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Hobbton let Kasey Lee and Ayden Lawson run wild. Lee scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5, while Lawson scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Lee has posted since back in February.
