Softball Recap: Dan River Takes a Loss

After flying high against Altavista last Wednesday, Dan River came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Magna Vista Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Kenley Cundiff made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Dan River's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Magna Vista, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dan River will square off against Bassett at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Magna Vista, they will face off against Martinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
