Nokomis had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 66-32 win over the Edinburg/South Fork Ponies. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 24 points or more this season.

Nokomis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alivia Sabol, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. Sabol has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Brownback, who posted 12 points and six boards.

The win (which was Nokomis' sixth in a row) raised their record to 27-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Edinburg/South Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-14.

Coming up, Nokomis will square off against Calhoun/Brussels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nokomis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season. Edinburg/South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
