Soccer Game Preview: Holdrege vs. North Platte

The Holdrege Dusters will challenge the North Platte Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Holdrege will be strutting in after a win while North Platte will be coming in after a defeat.

Holdrege proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Madison 3-2.

Joshua Janssen and Jackson Deaver scored all three of Holdrege's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Kearney Catholic who was credited with the victory on Monday. The Stars got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to North Platte's six.

Holdrege pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for North Platte, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
