Volleyball Game Preview: Poly Bears vs. Woodcrest Christian Royals

The Poly Bears will head out to square off against the Woodcrest Christian Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Poly had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt JW North on Thursday. Everything went Poly's way against JW North as Poly made off with a 3-0 victory.

Poly never let JW North on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Woodcrest Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Knights.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 22-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Woodcrest Christian's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Poly, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Poly beat Woodcrest Christian 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Poly repeat their success, or does Woodcrest Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
