Sycamore is 1-9 against White House-Heritage since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Sycamore War Eagles will square off against the White House-Heritage Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Sycamore's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so White House-Heritage's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Sycamore is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Cheatham County Central a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Conner Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Sycamore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, White House-Heritage's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Wednesday. They fell 4-0 to Greenbrier. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.
White House-Heritage also got a good showing from Ryan Greer, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Greer gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.
The victory made it two in a row for Sycamore and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for White House-Heritage, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.
Sycamore couldn't quite get it done against White House-Heritage when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can Sycamore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
