MacArthur gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Dunbar Crimson Tide by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Mammoths, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

MacArthur easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-11.

MacArthur didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Anacostia on the 6th. As for Dunbar, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on School Without Walls at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
