Softball Recap: Crane Comes Up Short

Crane couldn't beat Sonora on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Cranes came up short against the Broncos, falling 22-8. The Cranes have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Arely Campos stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Cami Velasco was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Crane's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sonora, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Crane will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sweetwater at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Sonora, they will challenge Wall at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
