Jurupa Hills hadn't done well against Summit recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Spartans came out on top against the SkyHawks by a score of 21-14. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the SkyHawks back in September, they had to take a 30-25 defeat.

Jurupa Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emelie Castrejon led the charge by throwing for 253 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 42 yards. The Spartans' leading receiver Jaylene Murillo was Castrejon's top target yet again, picking up 150 receiving yards and one score.

Jurupa Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Murillo and Marissa Cruz.

The win made it two in a row for Jurupa Hills and bumps their season record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.5 points over those games. As for Summit, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.

Jurupa Hills will take on Kaiser in a tournament on Saturday. The Cats' defense has only allowed 7.1 points per game this season, so the Spartans' offense will have their work cut out for them. Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
