Basketball Game Preview: Hagerman Bobcats vs. Elida Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bobcats challenge the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Hagerman: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Elida has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Hagerman played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 37-29 victory over Loving.

Meanwhile, Elida was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 27-26 to Gateway Christian. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Hagerman's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for Elida, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Hagerman strolled past Elida in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 45-29. Does Hagerman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Elida turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
