Baseball Recap: San Marin Has No Trouble Against Branson

San Marin came out on top against Branson on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Bulls with a sharp 6-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 back in February.

Tanner O'Keefe tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because San Marin is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Aidan Whitmore was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Hunter Uriarte also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

San Marin's record now sits at 11-7. As for Branson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

San Marin has already played their next match, an 11-2 victory against Terra Linda on the 22nd. As for Branson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Novato on the 22nd.
