Recap: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Logan Grizzlies
On Friday, the Green Canyon Wolves faced the Logan Grizzlies in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Green Canyon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 victory over Logan. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jared Anderson was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Layker Ward, who scored 13 points.
The win made it two in a row for Green Canyon and bumps their season record up to 16-5. As for Logan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Canyon will face off against Sky View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Green Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Logan, they will head out on the road to take on Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bear River is coming into the matchup with nine straight victories at home, so Logan is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
