Basketball Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short

Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Milton-Union Bulldogs on the road by a 55-41 margin. The Bees were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February.

Milton-Union got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenna Brumbaugh out in front who went 9 of 18 en route to 22 points and eight steals. Brumbaugh's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michaela Firks, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Milton-Union, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Bethel will head out to take on Arcanum at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Milton-Union, they will welcome Twin Valley South at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Twin Valley South's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Milton-Union's offense will have their work cut out for them.
