Softball Recap: Cinco Ranch Takes a Loss

Cinco Ranch lost against Tompkins back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered since March 26, 2024.

Gaby Perez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Cinco Ranch saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lindsey Deleon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cinco Ranch's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Tompkins, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8.

Cinco Ranch has already played their next game, a 12-11 loss against Mayde Creek on the 11th. As for Tompkins, they will look to defend their home field on the 17th against Katy Taylor at 6:15 p.m.
