Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Air Academy

Air Academy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pueblo East Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Mae Magoon paced Air Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Magoon got some help from Audrey Husemann and her eight assists. Aurelia Matzelle controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Air Academy's record is now 10-5. As for Pueblo East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Air Academy will take on Cheyenne Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pueblo East, they will challenge Pueblo Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
