Orange won the last time they faced South Granville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings. The game marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.
One reason for the win was Orange's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-11.
Aubrey Jordan paced Orange's offense, picking up 13 kills. Jordan got some help from Katie Silcott and her 15 assists. Sawyer White controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
The win made it two in a row for Orange and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for South Granville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orange will challenge Durham School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Granville, they will take on Wake Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
