Basketball Recap: Tom Bean Takes a Loss

Tom Bean lost against Whitewright back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tom Bean Tomcats fell 43-31 to the Whitewright Tigers.

Despite the loss, Tom Bean still got an impressive performance from Sam Lind, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. Lind has become a key player for Tom Bean: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least eight boards, but 9-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ryan Jones, who posted nine points.

Tom Bean has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Whitewright, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tom Bean will face off against Celeste at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitewright, they will head out to square off against Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
