Baseball Recap: Rose Bud Takes a Loss

After flying high against England on Thursday, Rose Bud came back down to earth. The Rose Bud Ramblers took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cave City Cavemen on Friday. The loss was the Ramblers' first of the season.

Tanner Bell put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bell was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Blake Bradley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Caden Calhoun was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rose Bud fell to 2-1. As for Cave City, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rose Bud will welcome East Poinsett County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cave City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
