Soccer Game Preview: South Garner vs. Clayton + How To Watch

South Garner is 0-9-1 against Clayton since September of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Titans will look to defend their home pitch against the Comets at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

South Garner's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Rocky Mount as they made off with a 9-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for South Garner.

Meanwhile, Clayton made easy work of Southeast Raleigh on Wednesday and carried off a 9-0 win. Clayton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Southeast Raleigh from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Tavalis Parker led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Clayton's victory bumped their record up to 14-2-1. As for South Garner, their win bumped their record up to 6-11-2.

South Garner might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Clayton in their previous matchup back in September. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Titans were down 6-1.
