Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Christian Banks and Hayden Harvey Lead Montoursville to Victory

Montoursville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Danville Ironmen by a score of 33-21. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 35-10 win the Ironmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Hayden Harvey and Christian Banks. Harvey rushed for 140 yards and one TD on only 15 carries while Banks rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Those 140 rushing yards gave Harvey a new career-high. Brayden Burkett also helped with two scores in total.

Montoursville's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Danville, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Montoursville will welcome Mifflinburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Danville, they will head out to challenge Central Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
