Basketball Recap: Groton-Dunstable Takes a Loss

Groton-Dunstable has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shepherd Hill Regional Rams on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by exactly nine points.

Groton-Dunstable's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Groton-Dunstable has already played their next contest (against Westborough), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Shepherd Hill Regional will head out to face off against Fitchburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
