Basketball Game Preview: Taylorville Tornadoes vs. Pana Panthers

The Taylorville Tornadoes will take on the Pana Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Taylorville and three for Pana.

Taylorville is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since February 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Mt. Zion and fell 67-27. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Tornadoes' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Pana came up short against Litchfield on Friday and fell 62-50.

Pana's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Taylorville, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Taylorville skirted past Pana 52-50 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Taylorville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pana turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
