Basketball Recap: Worcester Prep Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Delmarva Christian on Monday, Worcester Prep came back down to earth. The Mallards were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 28-27 to the Holly Grove Christian Eagles. The matchup marked the Mallards' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Holly Grove Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cate Sterling, who posted eight points and five boards. Mackenzie Muir was another key player, putting up four points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Worcester Prep fell to 5-1. As for Holly Grove Christian, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Worcester Prep will take on Chincoteague in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holly Grove Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sussex Academy at 11:45 a.m. on the 29th.
