Volleyball Recap: Coudersport Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Coudersport can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Port Allegany Gators on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-18, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Coudersport saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Wahlers had 22 assists and four digs. Wahlers has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.

Coudersport's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Port Allegany, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

As of now, neither Coudersport nor the Gators have any future games scheduled.
