Volleyball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Westwood lost against Canton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolverines lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Westwood was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-17.

Olivia Leyden paced Westwood's offense, picking up six kills. Leyden got some help from Ottavia Lodovico and her 20 assists. Lodovico was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Canton, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Westwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Ashland on the 17th. As for Canton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Oliver Ames on the 17th.
